Breast cancer happens when cells in the breast uncontrollably grows, causing a lump which is a tumor. Both men and women can get breast cancer, though it's a lot more common with women. Mechanisms and genetic alterations
Breast cancer can be inherited, with the most common inherited cancer genes being BRCA1 and BRCA2. Some of the most common mutated genes are PIK3CA, TP53, GATA3, MAP3K1, KMT2C, CDH1, KMT2D (for this and the following, the frequency is a decreasing order). For CNA genes, some of the major genes include MDM4, PIK3C2B, MYC.
